2 Week Schedule

HIRE A TRAINER. We cannot stress enough how important it is to set your puppy and family up for success the moment the puppy comes home.

We provide a schedule to help get you through the first 2 weeks after bringing home your puppy.

Your puppy has been introduced to crate training. The key to crate training is consistency. Stick with it and be as clear as possible with the puppy. Remember, they don't understand English.

Crate training is important because it sets the foundation of a well behaved dog. Not only does it keep him safe, he will learn independence and learn the proper toys to play with. Also, it makes potty training much easier!

Key Crate Training Tips:

  • In the beginning, your puppy WILL cry when they go into their crate. Have your sheet ready to pull down as soon as they start protesting.

  • Keep a few toys and cheese bone in the crate.

  • It is normal to leave the sheet down every time they go in the crate the first few weeks. Consistency is important.

  • Do not take the puppy out of the crate if they are protesting. Only let the puppy out if they have settled down. If the puppy starts crying after being quiet, then take the puppy potty.

  • Do not talk to the puppy while they are in the crate. Do not allow your children to stick their fingers in the crate. This taunts the puppy.

West Haven Contract

Every puppy from West Haven Australian Labradoodles is sold with a binding contract. We are committed to ensuring that our puppies are placed in loving, responsible homes, and we stand behind them for their entire lives. If circumstances ever change, we will always accept one of our dogs back.

Our contract emphasizes two important commitments:

  1. Lifetime Return Policy
If, at any time during your dog's life, you are unable to keep him or her, the dog must be returned to West Haven Australian Labradoodles. Under no circumstances may the dog be surrendered to a shelter, rescue organization, or rehomed without our involvement.

  2. Spay/Neuter Agreement
All puppies are sold with a spay/neuter agreement unless separate breeding rights have been expressly arranged. We do not perform early spay/neuter procedures at 8 weeks of age. Our primary concern is the long-term health and well-being of each puppy, and we believe delaying the procedure is in the dog's best interest. No exceptions will be made to this policy unless a specific breeding agreement has been established.

Puppy Delivery Services

Safe, Stress-Free Transportation for Your New Family Member

We provide both ground and air transportation for your furry friend, ensuring they arrive safely and comfortably. Your precious puppy will travel in-cabin with one of our experienced puppy flight nannies and will be treated with the utmost care every step of the way.

From arranging travel plans to keeping you updated throughout the journey, we handle all the details so you can focus on welcoming your new family member home.

How It Works- Air Transportation

1. Complete the Puppy Application

2. Flight Selection & Booking
We will research flight options that work best for both us and your family. Because flights and pet reservations fill quickly, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Once you approve the travel arrangements, we will book the flight and secure the pet carry-on reservation. Most airlines only allow two pets per flight, so early booking is important.

4. Safe & Comfortable Travel
We provide an airline-approved pet carrier, so there is no need for you to purchase one. During travel, your puppy receives personalized care and attention.

5. Travel Updates
Throughout the journey, we will send photos and text updates so you can follow your puppy's progress and arrival plans.

6. Airport Meet-Up
Simply meet us at your local airport to welcome your new family member home.

Our Commitment to Your Puppy's Well-Being

We travel prepared with pee pads, food, treats, and comforting items to keep your puppy happy during the trip. We also avoid airport pet relief areas whenever possible, as young puppies have typically only received their first round of vaccinations. Your puppy's health and safety are always our top priorities.

With years of experience and plenty of travel know-how, we know all the tricks to make your puppy's journey as safe, comfortable, and stress-free as possible.

Air Transportation Cost:
  • Airline Ticket (cost pending on specific flight)

  • In-Cabin Pet Reservation fee $150 (all airlines have this.)

  • Trip Protection usually $35
